Some f*&wit thought it hilarious to pull the fire alarm switch in the car park below our apartment setting off the alarm in the entire building – the sound is so piercing and at such a frequency that you loose sense of balance and direction not that these things work so well anyway when woken suddenly at 3.30am. After convincing my husband to stop bashing the alarm clock, that it was actually the FIRE alarm, we got out. Fire department found the vandalism within 5 mins so we were only out for about 15 – but then lay awake for another hour or so waiting for the adrenalin to subside.
