Re-fuelling

God Fuel coffee is good. I’ve been without it on a regular basis over Christmas, which wasn’t too bad when I was at home as I must say I really like my own coffee … but last week back at work when my Fuel stop was closed I was forced to make the rounds of other cafes. I had a most ghastly experience at Zoom: the barista had two tall latte bases extracted and when I ordered a regular she just poured what I assume was roughly half of a tall base into the regular cup, poured in the milk and said “$3 thanks”. I was flabbergasted and just too stunned to say something and at the time wondered what I could’ve said without coming across as a complete bitch. I hate those situations – I look back on it daily and ponder.

Anyway, I’m just getting to the bottom of my first Hunter St Fuel regular latte for the year and it is pure nectar. That wonderful familiar taste and smell – it really is my work-day fuel.

[Surely I should be given shares for my obsession and blatant adoration …]
